Bear Cat- is a 1920’s slang word for a hot blooded or fiery girl!! Founded in 2009. Inspired by decades past & French Films a la Godard. Bear Cat is a unique shopping experience for the modern Gal! Our designers are American made offering limited edition collections with an emphasis on design, quality, and a touch of vintage with a modern twist. Our main focus is to spread our love for creativity to people like you! We hope to introduce new designers and their latest trends as well as reviving the past and the unforgotten trends we love and now covet! Bonnie Jun is the founder and creator of Bear Cat. She started the company in 2009 inspired by her love for vintage and vintage inspired designs. She started her online store with additional variety of vintage markets and pop-up shops. With her online store taking off, Bonnie was able to focus her energy on designing and creating a vintage inspired collection called Nightmare Daydream (formally known as Ingénue Collection). After joining forces with co-owner James Scott and help from Stephanie Kor, they opened two brick-and-mortar shops, one in Long Beach and the other on Sunset Boulevard in Los Angeles. With five years of success Bonnie and James decided to venture out away from the hustle and bustle and smog filled air of Los Angeles to the Northwest. Tucked in the middle of ancient redwood forests and inspired by mountains and beaches, Bonnie and James have been able to re gather their energies on both Bear Cat and Nightmare Daydream. Currently working on an exciting new collection for 2015 and searching for a new creative space for the brands!
We’re so happy to welcome our new Assistant Art & Media Director, Tali Koushmaro. She helps coordinate our media and creative content for the website. Tali studied Studio Art and Art History. She has a keen eye for design, appreciation for fashion and love of all things DIY.

Some of Efi’s clients have included Stevie Ryan, The Like and Tori Amos. On her spare time she works on developing her own brand 8000 nerves which sold to major online retailers like Mod Cloth, Shop Ruche and various boutiques across the United States. Though a busy little lady, she also works other freelance projects which include studio projects for the film industry & designing for Monique Lhuillier. Efi and her sisters have been supportive of Bear Cat events and we’re very grateful to have had partnered with this growing brand.
Mandy Evans owns and runs her own vintage line called Retro Panda which features fun, bold colorful pieces all about loud prints. Retro Panda has been a partner of Bear Cat since the Sunset Boulevard store in Los Angeles. Mandy has worked for Martha Stewart and Oprah.
